Troy's passion for gymnastics, tumbling and cheerleading began when he started working at a local gymnastic's center where he trained and was mentored by some of the nation's top gymnastics coaches. In 1994, he operated the largest mobile gymnastic's program in Southern California for 3 years and decided to open his own gymnastic's center in Laguna Niguel in 1996. Soon after, he transferred his gymnastic's center into a cheerleading gym and started the first All-Star cheerleading program in Orange County, Magic All-Stars. After 13 successful years, he combined his program with Pacific Coast Cheer and operated under Pacific Coast Magic until the 2017-2018 season when the decision was made to go back his roots and core values. Magic All-Stars was reborn with the same passion and drive. Troy continues to lead the way in innovation, technique, and world class pyramaid choreography. Troy was named GSSA's California Coach of the Year in 2007 and was a finalist for California Coach of the year in 2019. Troy exemplifies his creativity and passion on the mat with his innovative pyramids and stunt sequences. He choreographs all over the world and works with top notch gyms both locally and globally. Troy has been married to Keri since 1992 and they have three children Aubree, Tyson and Daely. All three have cheered proudly for their parent's gyms. Troy's love for the sport goes above and beyond and his desire to have every athlete reach their full potential is evident in his every day interactions with his teams, athletes and parents. "Much can be accomplished if you don't care who gets the credit" John Wooden.
Keri was a former gymnast at New Hope Academy of Gymnastics and competed through Class 3 Advanced Optional where she was the State Champion on Beam and placed 3rd in the All-Around. She coached competitive gymnastics in Fountain Valley until 1997 and trained multiple State and National Championship individuals and teams. She feels blessed to have been mentored by some of the BEST coaches in the World and has the privilege of calling them friends to this day. In 2015 Keri was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and after rounds of chemo and multiple surgeries she is happy to announce that she is in remission. Keri lives a blessed life and enjoys spending time with close family and friends. Magic All-Stars is close to her heart and she couldn't be more proud of this gym.
Aubree was born into a gymnastics and cheer family, she had no other option than to make it her passion but she found out at a very young age that she is a cheerleader through and through. Aubree wants to share this passion with each athlete she comes in contact with. She has been coaching classes and teams since 2011 and started competing at age 6. She was on the Worlds Team Fantasy for 5 years and was on Majesty the International All-Girl 5 team for 2. Her team Fantasy got 4th place at both Worlds and NCA in 2013. She can still tumble so be sure to ask her to bust out a pass sometime for you! She is NCIS background checked, Safe Sport Trained, CPR Certified and Concussion Trained. She couldn't be more excited to be working with her Magic Family. She loves everything about cheerleading and couldn't imagine her life without it. Aubree is a licensed cosmetologist working at DESA Salon in Costa Mesa and loves using her creativity in the gym as well as the salon. She hopes to inspire athletes to do their best and give 100% every time they walk into the gym. Aubree is engaged and will be getting married in December 2020.
Her favorite food is sushi or pizza. Aubree loves Good and Plenty candy and her favorite Starbucks drink is a Salted Caramel Cold Brew Cream.
Thank you Aubree for your genuine love for these athletes, your ability to correct with compassion and your determination to bring out the very best in each of your athletes!
Tyson has literally grown up in this gym but it wasn't until 2011 that he traded in his football cleats for a pair of Nfinity's. He was on Mysterious (Senior Coed Level 5) for 4 years and placed 10th at the Cheerleading Worlds with his team in 2016. More recently Tyson competed with Relentless at the 2018 Worlds. He loves everything about tumbling and stunting. Tyson's goal is to instill his passion for this sport in younger kids and make them realize that nothing is impossible if you have a desire and drive. He didn't even try his first backhandspring until he was 14 years old, so it's never too late! Tyson is currently the tumbling director at Magic All-Stars in Anaheim. He is also a JAMZ Staff member and enjoys traveling to teach camps and clinics to athletes around California. Tyson is the co-owner of Tumbling Pros which offers classes and clinics around Southern California. When he's not at the gym you can find him at the beach or hangin out with his dog.
Mckayla has been a part of the cheerleading industry since she was 8 years old. She has won numerous awards in the high school, college, and all star world. During her years of training Mckayla has worked for Varsity, traveled to the east coast on a cheerleading scholarship to Gannon University and was a Worlds competitor. In her free time she is either spending time with her dog, at Disneyland, or finishing up her degree in social work. She is very excited for this season at Magic All Stars. Her favorite Starbucks drink is a Vanilla Cold Brew.
